To many, the Elite Series would provide the very first Cashion Fishing Rod they ever laid eyes on and it was hard to miss given its signature yellow and black carbon fiber / fiberglass grips, along with its simple and sleek design.
Although we eventually phased out the Elite Series and brought in our ICON Series as an upgrade, many anglers still loved those black and yellow Elites. They noted some differences, too, where it may just come down to a matter of preference.
For example, while the ICON Series uses a raw CR6r blank with higher durability and lightweight strength, as well as technique-specific decals and an upgraded ergonomic EVA foregrip on all spinning models, the Elite Series caters to anglers who are still fond of traditional smooth sanded and painted CR6s blanks, along with the feel of those first Cashions they ever had. And when so much about fishing is centered on the feel and a series of choices that add up to you landing a fish, there’s nothing wrong with that!
